sometimes i stop to think that koromaru existed in persona 3 like he wasn’t a fake dog or anything like teddie or how the new cat in persona 5 is gonna be, he was a real ass dog and he had a persona and he carried a knife in his mouth and he had the little wing things. he was a real dog, he barked, he didn’t do puns or anything like that and he never unzipped a zipper to reveal that he was a pretty white kid he was just a dog

Thank you all for showing your support of Koromaru.

my favorite koromaru fact is that he never gains an ultimate persona, which in my opinion implies cerberus is already one and koromaru is perfect

this theory holds a lot of weight tbh because all the other characters gained their ultimate personas after moments of personal growth and what personal growth do dogs need??? already perfect in every way, atlus knocks it out of the park again

I think its meant to imply that he already went through major trauma and personal growth. He’s a very mature pupper, after all.

Everyone in that game gets their final persona when they come to terms with the death of someone close to them (okay Fuuka’s is because her only friend leaves forever, and Aigis’s gets hers from her own rebirth, but generally death is the catalyst). Koromaru’s owner dies before the events of the game, and he has already made his important personal resolution. This is supported mechanically by Koromaru’s persona having the stat totals of an evolved persona and immunity rather than resistance to its own elements. It’s literally canon that this dog is more mature than the rest of the party.
